How To Start An Online Business With $0.99

Introduction: Proving the Potential of Online Business

To prove to you that you can really make money with the online business that I'll show you in this video from anywhere in the world, I'm going to literally create a sample of the same business in this video and then I'm going to use one of the methods that I'm going to teach you here in this video as well to promote the business so that you can get to see for yourself if we're going to actually make money or not. Yes, you read the title right: you need just 99 cents to start.

My Success and Strategy

Before you start, if you go check my Channel or my name on the internet, you'll notice that I’ve actually had a lot of success with various online businesses over the years. In today's video, I'll give you a strategy that has a nice 99.999% chance of actually working for you, so pay very close attention.

Making a Decision: Stay Focused

At the same time, if you're one of those people who would click off a video like this to go watch a cat video or some random video on YouTube, good luck doing that. But just remember that you could have done things differently and made better decisions when you're finally old, poor, and taken for granted by the people who you care about. So by all means, click off the video, keep scrolling until you realize what you're actually doing to yourself.

Step 1: Finding What to Sell

Now for the serious ones who are still here with me, I'm going to walk you through this whole game from scratch. I'll show you how to find what to sell, how to brand it properly, and then I'm going to go ahead walk you guys through to get people to see your stuff on the internet and actually start buying from you. I'll even walk you through some AI tools that are going to make everything easier for you, so stay tuned.

Avoiding the Trap of Copying Others

Finding what to sell is actually the trickiest part of this whole game because most people on their grammar here on YouTube tell you to just use a spy tool and find a product that other people are already selling. But the problem with that is the fact that if you just go ahead and copy some random idiots on the internet who might have actually gotten lucky without actually taking the time to understand the problem behind this product, you're going to be immediately setting yourself up for failure. Instead of trying to copy people, we're going to go the other route and we're going to actually take the time to figure out what problem people out there have, then what products or services you could actually offer them to solve those problems.

Solving Real Problems: The Key to Success

As long as whatever service or product you come up with actually solves a real problem in people's lives, humans like me and you are going to be willingly paying you their money on the internet to do those things for them or send those products to them.

Using AI Tools to Discover Problems

I know a lot of people are going to go into comments and say something like "Danel, I don’t know how to figure these things out, how do I actually get to know what people's problems are?" Don’t worry about that; I actually got you covered. The first way you could use is by simply selling a skill that you already have. Yes, I still know that there's a lot of you guys out there who do not have any skill at all, but actually, if you don't have a skill, what are you doing alive? Learn something like graphic design, video editing, music mixing and mastering, copywriting, or something that actually gives people real value.

Using Google Ads to Research Target Markets

To get even better ideas, you can use Google Ads to check what people are searching for. You don't have to set up any ads; just use the tool to find out what’s being searched globally, so you know what products to create.

Step 2: Finding Products That Solve Problems

The next step is to find a product that can solve the problem you're targeting. You can source products cheaply from websites like AliExpress or Alibaba. Once you’ve found your product, make sure it addresses the problem you’ve identified effectively.

Creating a Professional Platform for Selling

While you could sell on platforms like Amazon, eBay, or Etsy, the competition on those sites is fierce. However, these platforms have huge traffic, so there’s an advantage. But I recommend also building your own platform because it gives you more control over your business.

Step 3: Building Your Own Platform

Building your own platform is crucial to maintaining full control of your business. Start by registering a domain name. For example, you might choose something like "pregnancystretchoil.com." This name is clear, simple, and directly communicates what you're selling.

Using Your Own Website to Maximize Profits

Once you've registered your domain, build your website. Having your own site means you won’t have to pay hefty fees to third-party platforms like Fiverr, where they often take a large percentage of your earnings.

Step 4: Creating Your Own Brand

By owning your own store, you avoid paying fees and control the customer experience. If I had started my online business with just 99 cents to build my own store, I would have made $2,200 more than I did from Fiverr, where I ended up losing a portion of my earnings to their 20% fee.

Conclusion: The Importance of Owning Your Platform

Creating your own platform for selling your products or services is a game-changer. It puts you in control of your sales and profits, without giving away a portion to third-party platforms. Even as a beginner with limited funds, setting up your own store alongside selling on major platforms is the best strategy to maximize your online business success.

domain gets 87% more traffic because it instantly tells people on the internet that they can actually buy from you

The .store domain literally gets double the visibility. People who run ads to their online store on the .store domain experience a 12% reduction in the cost of conversion, meaning they actually make more money. Research shows over 1 million people worldwide, including brands like Emirates Airlines and celebrities like Mr. Beast and Cristiano Ronaldo, are currently using the .store domain. This is why I even bought my own .store domain, MrHle.store, to see what I can do with it.

The key point is, don’t stretch yourself over a .com domain. People have already bought most .com domains. So just get on the .store domain and purchase one through Shopify, Namecheap, GoDaddy, or wherever you prefer; they’re everywhere. I bought my .store domain because I’m a hardworking guy building things from scratch. To make it easier for you, if you’re serious about starting your online business, you can get your own .store domain for just 99 cents for the first year by using my discount code.

Once you do this, follow the steps in the video to see how much your sales will increase when you drive real traffic to your .store domain. Additionally, using a .store domain gives you access to discounts on essential e-commerce tools like Wix, ShipStation, VPrint, Milam, and many more, so it actually pays to start with a .store domain.

So at this point that's everything cool about these new domain that's starting to go viral on the internet

If you’d like to know more, the link to purchase your domain is the first link in the description. But I recommend that you click on it right after watching this video because we still have a lot to cover.

Now that we've gotten a simple and brandable domain name the next thing to do would be to design the website

You have plenty of options to build your website, such as using website builders like Elementor, Wix, Shopify, and others. Do your research to find the platform that best fits your needs. Some of you may want to sell services, while others may want to sell products from Alibaba, for example.

For my own website, StretchOil.store, I’ll be using Wix, which is one of the tools that offer discounts when you use a .store domain. I’ll link to that in the description.

A few moments later, here's what the site is looking like

I didn’t want to dive too deep into building websites in this video, as that's not the focus, but if you want a full tutorial, I'll point you to a video at the end. If you want to see what my store looks like in real life, head over to stretchoil.store after watching this video. I’m always transparent with you guys, and I don’t hide anything.

Also, videos take me time to make, guys

I literally built an online store inside this video, so leave me a like if you appreciate the effort. Now that we’ve set up our website, here’s a crucial tip:

Make sure your website doesn’t look like a scam. Ask friends and family for honest feedback. Would they trust your site enough to make a purchase? If not, improve the design. Take inspiration from successful competitors’ websites, especially in the same niche.

If you already have some money coming in, consider using Fiverr. Go to Fiverr and create an account (through the link in the description to get 20% off). Then, search for an e-commerce website designer. Reach out to them, explain what you need, and ask for pricing.

If you're selling skills or services

Look at what the top people in your industry are doing, and set your prices accordingly.

If you’re sourcing products from places like Alibaba

You can find items that don’t have branding or ask suppliers to remove their brand so you can add your own. You can also sell products from different brands, similar to how large stores like Asos do.

This is a business model that works in real life

You can sell products at a higher price if you create a professional-looking website. People often trust branded, clean websites and believe costlier items are better.

Now how do we get people to see our new store website and actually buy our products or services?

There are free and paid marketing strategies. Let me walk you through the free one first.

Free Marketing: Word of Mouth

This is a strategy that has been used for ages. It involves telling people who need your product or service about it. Since we're building an online business, we can use platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

In this video, I’m using Facebook. If you're trying to sell stretch mark oil, search for groups related to pregnancy. Use a new Facebook account (or your mom's or sister's account) to interact with potential customers in these groups. Directly message people who might need your product, introduce yourself, and recommend your online store.

If you do this consistently

You’ll eventually make sales. It worked for me back in the day when I was trying to make my first few sales on Fiverr. It may take time, but persistence pays off.

Paid Marketing

For those of you who have money to invest, paid traffic options like Facebook ads, Google ads, and influencer marketing can significantly boost your sales.

Influencer Marketing

This involves partnering with influencers who have an audience that would benefit from your product or service. For example, if you’re selling stretch mark oil, find YouTubers or Instagram influencers who talk about pregnancy or skincare, and pay them to mention your product.

Influencers do this because it works, and you can replicate it to drive traffic to your store. Whether on YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok, if your target audience is there, that’s where you need to be.

I will have more videos on paid traffic
