So it’s important for you guys to smash the like button on this video, subscribe to my channel, and most importantly, turn on the notification bell so that when I drop more amazing videos like the one you’re watching right now, YouTube will send you a notification instantly. So that’s it, guys. Let’s go to my laptop screen right now, and let me show you guys how you can build a Blog and earn at least $100 every single day with a free WordPress blog.
Key Components Needed for Your Blog
To build your blog, there are three basic things that you need: a domain name, which is the name of your blog (like yourwebsite.com), a hosting plan, and WordPress, which is a content management system that’s completely free.
Choosing a Hosting Platform
Think of your hosting as a hard drive where the files of your website actually live. You can get this from Cloudways, which is one of the best hosting platforms out there. What you need to do is click on the first link in the video description, and you’ll be taken to the developer-friendly UltraFast WordPress hosting that I use for my own personal website.
Setting Up Your Hosting and Server
Once you click that link, it will bring you to this interface on my laptop screen. From here, you need to click on "Start Free Trial." The interesting thing about Cloudways is that it actually allows you to use their platform completely free for three days, so you can decide if it works for you or not.
Creating Your WordPress Blog
After signing up, select WordPress as your application. You can then choose the latest version, name your managed app (such as “My Blog”), and select the server. The next step is to launch your new server, which will take a few minutes.
Linking Your Domain to Your Hosting
Once the server is set up, it’s time to link your domain to this hosting. I’ll walk you through how to add the A Record and configure the DNS settings to connect your domain.
Installing SSL for Security
Next, we need to secure our blog by installing an SSL certificate. This process ensures that your site is marked as secure with HTTPS, and I'll show you how to do this inside Cloudways.
Finalizing Your Blog Setup
Once your SSL certificate is installed, your blog will be secure. You can now install important plugins like Classic Editor and Classic Widgets, which help you customize the look and functionality of your blog.
Choosing and Installing a Theme
The final step is to choose a theme for your blog, giving it the look and feel you want. I’ll show you how to install and activate a theme to make your blog live.
Choosing the Right Theme for the Blog
And select the theme that I actually want to work with which is the look and feel of our blog that I actually want to work with so I'm going to come here and type Zen. Now, Zen is a Blog theme that I actually worked with in the past and I like the look and feel. It's very simple and minimalistic, so this is it right here. This is Magaz. This is what our blog is going to look like by the time that we’re done. So, what I'm going to do right now is click on install and once I'm done installing, I'm going to activate it, and this has been activated. So, if you come here right now and actually refresh this page, you're going to see that the look and feel of our blog has changed, you know, to mimic what we have on the theme that we just installed a while ago.
Customizing the Blog Design
What I'm going to do right now is that you can actually customize your design, add and edit widgets, and all of you can do all of those things right here. There's also an option to import and edit if you want to. If you click on VI demo, it's going to show you exactly what this theme would look like. You can put your ad right here, and this is where the logo stays. You know the animation buttons, lifestyle, sports, whatever. Now, these are the blog posts themselves. This is what they are going to look like at the end of the day, by the time that we are done. Before we actually begin to customize, we need to install these plugins because these plugins are actually recommended for this particular theme. It works with this theme, so we need to install them. I'm going to click on begin installing plugins, and it's going to show right here. So, it says install, and this is going to be installed for us right now. So, this has been installed, and loading installation of plugins is now complete. Successful installation! Right? So, I’m going to return to install, and they show me another plugin—the same plugin. We need to activate it, so I’m going to hit activate, and this plugin has been activated for us.
Customizing and Finalizing the Blog
So, I’m going to come here where it says “customize the design.” I’m going to customize right now so I can actually get this particular blog that we've created right now to look exactly like the demo that we're trying to copy, basically. So, I’m going to come here, and I’m going to refresh this page. I see nothing is happening right here. So, this is the customization tab. This is where you can put your logo right here. I do not have a logo created already, so you can actually put your logo right here by selecting your site icon and placing it here. The logo is going to come automatically. Well, for the purpose of this training, I’m going to be leaving this alone—you know how to do that now. Like I told you guys, at the end of this video, I’m going to be showing you guys how to monetize this blog. It's important that you stay with me from beginning to the very end. Now, this is where your banners are going to show, which are your adverts. I can actually put them here with Google AdSense or whatever it is that you use. Now, you can actually change any of these spots. You can change this from "Sports" to whatever you want to change it to. You know, these are images, and you can actually change them. I'm going to leave them the way they are right now. We’re interested in the blog post, right? This is where the blog posts are going to show up. So, let’s go and actually put a blog post right here.
Creating and Publishing Blog Posts
So, I'm going to close this window and say okay. This is where we’re going to put our blog post, so I'm going to hit “Post.” If you come here, you’ll see that there’s a blog post right here which actually says "nothing." This is the default stuff that WordPress actually comes with. So, I’m going to come here right now and hold this and trash it—it is deleted. Right? And once we delete this, you’ll see that there’s no more blog post. This actually says "nothing found." So, let’s go right to the blog post and actually put it right here. I’m going to be creating a blog post right now with the help of AI that actually helps us write blog posts. I’m going to come here, click on one-click blog post, and I’m going to give it a title: "Make Money on YouTube." You know that’s our main keyword. I’m going to say “generate a title,” and it’s going to generate a title for us automatically: "How to Make Money on YouTube – A Comprehensive Guide."
Optimizing and Publishing the Post
Right, I’ll select the language and tone, for example, "English (US)" friendly, point of view, etc. You can choose from first person, second person, or third person. Let’s use none. It works perfectly fine. Now, I’m going to leave the details to include as is and just click “Write.” This AI will now write the full-fledged blog post for us, and we’re going to be putting it on our new blog right now. The AI is almost done writing. So, this is the content that the AI has written for us, and we’re going to publish it on our new blog.
Formatting and Adding Images to Posts
Now, I’m going to copy this title, come to our blog post, click on “Add New Post,” and paste the title here. This is the body of the article. So, I’m going to come back to our AI and copy this content. One thing I always do is that I actually copy the text and put it in a notepad document so that all the formatting will be removed. I don’t want any formatting issues. I’m going to copy all the content right here, and now I’ll paste it into WordPress. You can now take your time to actually format this—make it bold, change fonts, add images, etc. Once you’re done, hit “Publish.” The post is now live!
Adding Featured Image and Finalizing the Post
Gradually, the post will appear on the homepage, and you’ll see how the content looks. It’s missing an image, so let’s go ahead and add one right now. I’m going to come back here, right-click on this image and copy it, save it, and upload it as the featured image. Once uploaded, set the featured image and update the post. This is done. I’m going to refresh, and now the image is displayed.
Monetizing Your Blog
Now that we’ve created our first blog post, the next step is how to monetize your blog. There’s something called marketing through ads, where ads actually show on your blog. When people watch and click on those ads, you get paid. This is how I made money with Google AdSense and other websites. You can learn more about this in my Bloggers Mastermind Course. The link is in my video description. The course is only $2, and you can grab it now to start building your blog and making money online. Also, consider using Cloudways for hosting, which ensures that your blog will never go offline. Don't forget to apply the discount code for great savings!
